3:33 Campaign | #DAYSOFDELIGHT

Alright, it’s time to have a serious chat, so if you can just excuse me for a minute. You can grab your coffee, or tea, or chocolate milk since I saw that seems to be a popular beverage of choice in our introductions, because if we were having this chat face to face we would definitely be at a coffee shop or in my home, in big, comfy chairs, with our souls and minds intent on a good heart to heart, on speaking the truth and speaking life to one another. I'm just going to warn you from the start that this heart to heart is going to be hard, but it’s going to be good too. It’s going to call you out and hopefully it’s going to call you to action for the sake of your future and for the sake of Delight’s future.

Register Now: Fall [Be Intentional] Workshop!

The heart of Delight & Be is what happens under the roof of the Delight House. It is a safe place. It is a place of worship, where the Holy Spirit’s presence is evident. A place where we do workshops! When I first felt God asking us to build the Delight House, I envisioned more “creative arts” workshops - teaching photography, culinary arts, graphic design. But since our first photography workshop in September of 2015, I have come to realize that the [Be] workshops are unrivaled. They have become some of the most precious memories of my life.

How a Delight Retreat Taught Me to Say Yes to God (Pt 1)

Since joining the Delight community in 2013, checking into the Facebook group has become just as much a part of my daily routine as brushing my teeth! Even though I hadn’t met any of these girls personally, we were connected by our desire to follow Christ and our common creative interests and similar day-to-day lives. In fact, it was by interacting with these passionate, talented girls that my own dreams of pursuing photography grew and blossomed. But more importantly, to see girls my own age and even younger let down their guard and be open and real about their lives, fears, hopes, and struggles was like a breath of fresh air to the girl who always sought and yearned for deeper, more meaningful connections with people. Prayer requests, hilarious threads, and testimonial videos flew around on a daily basis, and pretty soon I was checking into Facebook for Delight more than anything else!

Delight Advent Week 3 | Joy Has Come

This is the third week of Advent. (already!?) This year threw me off a little bit, since Christmas is on a Sunday this year and Advent began earlier. This week, our focus is joy. Broken and marred by sin, this world was and is in desperate need of our perfect King to come. We marvel at the incredible gift that God would send His Son into this world. Last week, we focused on preparing our hearts for His coming. And this week, we marvel with joy and great expectant hope that He is coming despite our sin. Despite our brokenness. And despite our failures. Even though we live in a world filled with sorrow and pain, we are comforted that our coming King comes despite those things.

"Delight & Be Thankful" 30 Day Challenge

A Thankful Heart. One of the greatest lessons I have learned in life is the power of a grateful attitude. A grateful heart leads to a joyful heart! I find that even when life is difficult, we can always find something to be thankful for. Many of the Delight girls know that my favorite verses are Habakkuk 3:17-19 which state “. . .Yet, I will rejoice!”
