Katie's Story | Culinary & [BE] Nourished Workshops

I stepped into the Delight House after a year full of hurt and loss, and my heart was still recovering from unexpected events and emotional roller coasters. A few weeks before the workshop, I felt God calling me to release my pain and bitterness to Him, but I had been slowly giving it away piece by piece. I felt like I could still control my life and get everything back in order so that I could please God with my life. Little did I know that God just wanted to hold me so that I could rest in His grace. It’s funny how sometimes God takes you all the way across the country just so that He can show you that He is truly all you need.

THEY'RE ALL HERE! We're so excited to announce all SIX of our 2018 workshops at the Delight House! We like to refer to these workshops as the heartbeat of Delight because they really encapsulate what Delight is all about- community, discipleship, and creativity. Every single workshop in the line up has incredible women of God and creatives who are flying in from around the country to the little Delight House, tucked into the mountains and surrounded by cherry trees in Central Washington.

2017 In Review for Delight & Be

It's been a year for the books for Delight & Be and looking back fills our hearts to see all our God has done in 2017. Many lives changed where changed: we had 40 girls attend a Delight retreat or workshop. Our online group has reached over 1,200+ girls. Not to mention, the exciting productions we've been able to put out this year.

The heart of Delight & Be is what happens under the roof of the Delight House. It is a safe place. It is a place of worship, where the Holy Spirit’s presence is evident. A place where we do workshops! When I first felt God asking us to build the Delight House, I envisioned more “creative arts” workshops - teaching photography, culinary arts, graphic design. But since our first photography workshop in September of 2015, I have come to realize that the [Be] workshops are unrivaled. They have become some of the most precious memories of my life.
