Register Now: Fall [Be Intentional] Workshop!

The heart of Delight & Be is what happens under the roof of the Delight House. It is a safe place. It is a place of worship, where the Holy Spirit’s presence is evident. A place where we do workshops! When I first felt God asking us to build the Delight House, I envisioned more “creative arts” workshops - teaching photography, culinary arts, graphic design. But since our first photography workshop in September of 2015, I have come to realize that the [Be] workshops are unrivaled. They have become some of the most precious memories of my life.

What a Toothache Taught Me About Worship

I just saw Ann Voskamp” was not the first thing I thought I would hear after getting through the LGA airport security. I scanned my friend’s face as I would a map for some specific direction on our search for Ann, but we were dumbfounded. In one excited breath, Bethany described the sight of Ann’s adopted baby, and her slight remorse of not having the courage to introduce herself while she could have. I remembered the book inside my guitar bag was “The Broken Way,” and it was no coincidence that what I chose to read on my way to the Delight Retreat was written by the same woman that stood barefoot with Bethany, waiting for the very same normal and mundane airport frisk.

Reflections from Stephanie: the 2017 Spring Retreat

Last month we hosted our annual spring retreat in the cozy mountainside city of Leavenworth, WA. As always, it was an incredible time of growth and intimate fellowship. We truly wish we could open the event to all 1,000+ girls that are apart of our online community. And yet the intimate setting of 25 girls and leaders also allows for relationships, connections, and hearts to grow in such a powerful way. Below is Stephanie Nunley's reflection on her time at the retreat, as well her gorgeous images!

Looking Back at the Fall Delight Retreat

A few months ago, at this very moment, I was plugging in my laptop in a cozy little upstairs nook of a giant house and preparing to speak about the gospel, productivity, how those things relate, and why it matters. I was in the hills of Tennessee, pouring my heart out at the fall Delight Retreat. For those of who you have been following me for a while, you already know about Delight. I've written about it several times in the past, and it's been a huge part of my life for a long time. But for those of who you don't know, Delight & Be is a 501c3 non-profit organization for young Christian women pursuing the creative arts. It's made up of artists of every kind - from designers and chefs to photographers and songwriters. Twice a year, these young ladies gather together for a weekend of fellowship, friendship, worship, and education.

How a Delight Retreat Taught Me to Say Yes to God (pt 2)

The Delight Retreat was one adventure! From going with my local friend and fellow Delight girl Bridgette and meeting Ann Voskamp in the security line on the way at the airport (newsflash: my “Big Sister” Kerri was the one who first introduced me to one of my favorite books “One Thousand Gifts” by Ann Voskamp! God has perfect timing AND a sense of humor!), to staying that first night in Nashville with the sweetest young married couple Elisabeth and Jon, God’s hands were all over this! Everyone I talked to that first day said the same thing:

“This is surreal!”
