Meet Bekah: Photographer + Delight Girl
NAME + BUSINESS:
My name is Bekah Wriedt and my business name is Bekah Wriedt Photography.
SOMETHING SHORT + SWEET ABOUT YOU:
I am a college freshman studying Interior Design at Anderson University in South Carolina. I love to take on new adventures, have deep talks, and eat avocados. Jesus Christ is my life, and I pray for grace to trust him more. His grace is so abounding, and I am basking in his goodness.
DID THIS SESSION CHALLENGE YOU?
This session was actually one of my very favorite sessions! I loved this couple so much! We worked so well together, and we got some beautiful emotions on camera.
WHAT GEAR DID YOU USE?
I used the Canon 6d and the Sigma 35 f/1.4.
I love photography because I love to be able to create art out of everyday life. I love to be able to capture special moments that will be valued for a lifetime.
HOW DOES YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS AFFECT YOUR WORK?
My relationship with Jesus deeply impacts my photography. Instead of doing photography for myself and my own gratification, I do it to glorify God. I look at it as an opportunity to serve and love those around me. I use photography to connect with others, build friendships, and make people feel special!
WHAT’S THE STORY BEHIND THIS SESSION?
This session with Rabekah and Mike was a beautiful elopement. Rabekah, the bride, wrote this about her elopement on a Instagram post: "We eloped because we wanted it to be all about us and our irrevocable love for one another. When you know, you know. It's so incredibly hard to wait for the ‘appropriate’ time. This society. I'm here to tell you, it's only this life we get and if you find a love like this, don't ever wait for the "right" time. Start today. I can't imagine doing this life or any without you, Michael Daniel. I love you to the moon, the stars and beyond anything we'll ever know.”
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE IMAGE, AND WHY? (HOW DID IT COME ABOUT?)
My favorite image is probably the one below because it capture the tenderness, intense love, and passion these two have for each other. It captures the moodiness and magical feeling their special day had! It came about because I asked him to tell her why he loved her. The moment became so precious and intense. (We love it, too Bekeh, so much!)
